In this edition of Employee Spotlight, we proudly feature Lori Warnes, a valued insurance producer specializing in group health and Medicare at our Urbana, IL office.
Before her tenure in the insurance sector, Lori garnered diverse experiences, including a stint as a bartender at the Tri-City Country Club as well as working the carnival circuit as a food vendor booth worker. These roles endowed her with invaluable skills in customer engagement and adaptability. While the work is certainly different (though her coworkers wouldn’t say ‘no’ to funnel cakes and lemon shakeups every now and then), these experiences helped shape Lori’s work ethic and customer service skills.
Transitioning from the banking industry, Lori found her professional home at Loman-Ray. Working alongside esteemed colleagues like Brian Loman and Ron Ray, she embraced the company's ethos and has contributed significantly to its success. She has witnessed the many changes over the years as Loman-Ray has opened new offices, merged with other like-minded agencies, and seen the staff grow to where it is today.
Among Lori's notable achievements is her instrumental role in launching the Illinois Educator’s Risk Management Program (IERMP) alongside Brian Loman. Additionally, witnessing the substantial growth and evolution of Loman-Ray over her 16-year tenure remains a source of immense pride for her.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Lori enjoys indulging in recreational pursuits such as golfing and traveling. Whether exploring warm destinations in the Caribbean or embarking on memorable family trips to Alaska, she finds fulfillment in enriching experiences beyond the office.
